Wall Formwork X-FORM STEEL – Pressure rated for 70kN/m² of concrete

The X-FORM is the newest revolution in the formworks for walls, with a full steel frame it guarantees fast, effective and durable results. The system was developed in accordance with the preset standard of UNI 11763: 2019.

This multi-faceted, robust formwork system can be used in a variety of construction settings. Whether it is in structural or industrial engineering, the X-FORM wall formwork adapt to a variety of different designs and projects efficiently and flexibly.

Elements

With a thickness of 10 cm of steel, the frame allows for the support of 70kN/m² of liquid concrete. The frame is powder coated in RAL 3000, in accordance with the PR EN39 class 2 guidelines.

The elements of X-FORM are available in two heights 300 cm and 150 cm, with widths ranging from 20 to 200 cm. The formwork in size H300x200 cm allows for quick casing times and a clean appearance.

A special feature of the system are the universal panels. The C-profile is equipped with drilled out anchor rails (closed off with PVC plugs) every five cm on 4 different heights. By using the universal elements, the need of other accessories and equipment is reduced, and corner formation is greatly improved.

Advantages

• Perforations: All elements possess a multi-use perforation at the head end of the frame (to connect multiple elements with use of a wingnut and a threaded rod).
• Cutouts: All frames are fitted with cutouts for manual moving and or positioning.
• Tapered anchor points: The custom-made anchor points allow for the threaded rod to be tilted to a maximum of 6°, for the element to be mounted without problems on tilted walls or supporting structures.
• Slots for Equipment: Each element is equipped with drilled slots to attach equipment e.g. scaffolding brackets or supports.
• Universal connection clamps: For the universal connection of different elements in modules, adjustable from 0 to up to 10cm.
• Innovative solutions for corner construction: With the use of the universal elements in combination with the clamps for corners/columns the realization of corner construction is easy and efficient.

Form lining

The lining of the formwork can be customized to best adapt to the concrete surface or the number of intended usages.

The following materials can be chosen as form linings:

• Birch plywood panel with phenolic overlay – 18 mm made of cross-bonded Finnish birch veneers – glued 11 times – overlaid on both sides with a 220 g/m² layer of phenolic film
• Birch plywood panel with PPL overlay – 18 mm made of cross-bonded Finnish birch veneers – glued 9 times – overlaid on both sides with a polypropylene layer (PPL) 1.6 mm
• Full plastic panel: Alkus®

The functional accessories and the universal connection clamps of the X-FORM are easy to use and allow for fast horizontal and vertical connections between the different elements. The safe and versatile formwork guarantees fast and efficient working at every construction site.
